Rock the House with Gritt Hofmann

Gritt Hofmann, a senior gymnast from Berlin, Germany, is getting ready to graduate this year with a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design.  Gritt, known to friends and teammates as “Gritty”, is a former German National Team member and was a first-team All-American on the floor exercises last year. As a three-event performer on the vault, beam and floor, she has scored a 9.8525 or better on each event.

Gritt, like many of her teammates, is well aware of the great support she receives from the loyal Red Rocks fans and Crimson Club members.  She definitely knows the Crimson Club has helped provide her scholarship and is proud of it.  She is grateful for her scholarship because it gave her the opportunity to come to America and be apart of a great team at a great University. She loves it here and plans to stay and work for one year after graduation until her student visa expires.  Gritt is planning on graduating after summer semester and is looking for a summer internship (Note: please contact the Crimson Club if you have information on an interior design internship this summer).  Not to be overshadowed by her incredible athletic abilities, Gritt is also a member of the Athletic Directors Honor Roll for Fall 2005 which recognizes varsity athletes who achieve a 3.0 GPA, or higher, during a specific semester.  Congratulations and good luck Gritt.  You have over 4,000 Crimson Club members standing behind you all the way!  Go UTES
