Tuition Costs

As the cost of tuition at the University of Utah increases each year, the Crimson Club Athletic Fund is called upon to provide additional dollars in support of student athlete scholarships. While tuition costs increase, the future of funding from the University appears more limited, this makes your Crimson Club Athletic Fund membership more important each year.

Season Ticket & Television Revenue is Not enough

In the past, many athletic departments earned enough money each year through ticket sales and television revenue to finance the majority of a university’s athletics program. For a variety of reasons, in this day and age, football and basketball ticket sales, along with television revenues, are not enough to support the total intercollegiate athletic program. Private support from alumni, friends and fans provides the necessary financial support to supplement the difference.

Facility Enhancement

New and renovated facilities are vitally important for the quality of competition/practice and the safety and performance of our current and future student athletes. Facility enhancements are essential for Utah Athletics to be successful at the conference and national level.  Like the recently completed Spence and Cleone Eccles Football Center, pictured above.
