Message from the Director of Athletics

Dr. Chris Hill

Loyal donors, alumni and fans like you are a hallmark of great institutions with proud athletic traditions. We expect our student-athletes to represent the University of Utah in a way that will make us all proud in the classroom, during competition and in the community at large. We are truly excited about our department and the direction we are heading as our goal is to be the best not only in the Mountain West Conference, but also in the nation.

Our department will continue to strive for excellence and represent you in a positive fashion. Your financial support helps to guarantee that our student-athletes will have the tools they need to be successful - exceptional facilities that help us compete for championships, scholarship funding to offset rising tuition costs, sufficient operating budgets for all 18 varsity sports and first-rate academic support that enables our athletes to become champions in the classroom.

Our student-athletes, coaches and administrative staff are dedicated to excellence on and off the fields of competition. This Athletic Department, under my direction, will continue to serve as a positive focal point for the greater university, community, alumni and fans.
